To interact two days with Cupw Canada Post, overtime ban is effective

Ottawa – Canadian Association of Postal Workers says that it will hold a two -day conversation with the Canada Post.

The Sangh, which represents around 55,000 post workers, says that the two sides met with the federal intermediaries on Tuesday and it agreed to meet with the Canada Post on Friday and Monday.

Workers held talks after rejecting the latest proposal of Canada Post, which would have seen an increase of about 13 percent wages in four years and the deal was restructured to add part -time workers.

The Sangh says its national overtime ban is effective.

The conversation for a new collective agreement has been going on for more than one and a half years.

The Canada Post stated that its latest proposal, which was rejected by workers, reflected the company’s “current realities, while important to employees.”
