TJ Holmes accused of theft in plane

TJ Holmes opened up about how he was recently accused of stealing a woman’s cell phone on a plane.

“Just recently I was accused of stealing someone’s cell phone on a flight,” Holmes, 46, shared in her and Amy Robach’s episode on Tuesday, April 30. amy and tj podcast.

Holmes recalled Robach, 51, having previously “witnessed a black man going through similar circumstances” who was “being treated very differently.”

“I was using a bathroom in the front, next to the cockpit. I come out and there’s a flight attendant and a little old lady,'” he recalled. “She’s standing there and the flight attendant asks if I’ve seen any phones there. I turned around and said no.

But Holmes’s denials had no effect on the woman and she made further allegations against him.

“The woman walks toward me and makes gestures like she’s about to search me, saying, ‘Oh, you don’t have this?’ In front of the plane she accused me of snatching her phone,” he said.

“I actually bent down, put my hands on my knees and got down to her level. I ask, ‘Ma’am are you telling me that I took your phone?’ “She kind of ignores me.”

Eventually the woman found her phone somewhere else and realized her mistake. He apologized “on the front lines”, but it was useless to Holmes.
