India on Thursday reiterated their resolve to fight terrorism and called for Pakistan to be accountable to the terrorist attacks that they have made against India.
In weekly media briefing, Randhir Jaywal, a spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs, reminded the world about the need to come together to fight terrorism in all his forms and expressions.
Responding to a query on the multi-party delegation, Randhir Jaiswal said, “There are seven delegations. Three delegations have gone … It is a political mission. We want to make the world a strong outreach to express our resolve to fight terrorism. Practicing it for the last 40 years against India, ie Pakistan should be called their works.
“So, this is a big message. Ekta of India, the purpose of India,” said the spokesperson of Mea.
India launched Operation Sindor on 7 May on 7 April as a decisive military response to the Pahgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed. The Indian armed forces targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, causing more than 100 militants associated with terrorist organizations such as Jai-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen.
After the attack, Pakistan attempted drone attacks with the Line of Control and Jammu and Kashmir as well as border areas, after which India launched a coordinated attack and damaged radar infrastructure, communication centers and air areas at 11 airbase in Pakistan.
Subsequently, on 10 May, an understanding of the end of enmity between India and Pakistan was announced.
