There will be no new content launched on March 20, which will be an “industry first”

Just weeks after launching the Nothing Phone 2a, company CEO Carl Pei is teasing the launch of new products. In typical nonchalant fashion, Pei hinted that the company would be launching some new products this week. No one posted a short video on X teasing the news. The company has not revealed any information about this upcoming release other than revealing the date. Nothing recently launched Phone 2a in India, the company’s first budget smartphone.

Nothing’s official X account posted a 10-second clip on March 18. The clip shows Pei in conversation with Julie Duan, who is a brief content manager at Nothing, according to her LinkedIn bio. Pei called the short video an “industry first.” During the conversation, Duan can be heard asking Pei: “So I think this is kind of an industry first. Why do you think other companies haven’t done this before?”

Leader Wuwu’s reply to Duan just said: “Well, uh…” and then the screen went black. According to the trailer, the announcement will be made on March 20.

The post received more than 130,000 views in the past 24 hours. The comments section under this article is filled with all kinds of speculation. The Nothing team has not announced any specific release date. There’s nothing new apps or software to announce tomorrow.

In the first week of March this year, the company launched the affordable Nothing Phone 2a with MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC chipset, 5,000mAh battery and new Glyph LED design. The two variants of the phone are priced at Rs. 25,999 Rs 27,999.

Shortly after the launch of Phone 2a, Nothing’s sub-brand CMF launched two wearable devices – the Neckband Pro, which offers 50dB hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC), and the CMF Buds, which support 42dB ANC.

Nothing is based in London and was founded in October 2020. Former OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei officially launched Nothing on January 27, 2021, three months after Pei quit OnePlus. Between 2021 and 2024, Nothing launched a series of wireless earphones and two mid-range flagship smartphones – Nothing Phone 1 and Nothing Phone 2.
