Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday claimed that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s future is “dark”, adding, By 2026, the state will no longer have this great old party.

“A vote for Congress means a vote for Rahul Gandhi; a vote for the BJP means a vote for Narendra Modi. Those who love Narendra Modi and believe that India will become grandparents Will vote for the BJP in this election. Those who believe in Rahul Gandhi’s leadership also know their future is dark. Even Rahul Gandhi’s future is dark and the future of his followers is even darker,” CM Sarma told reporters in Biswanath on Monday.

“In the last one and a half months, you have seen a huge erosion of the Congress party as many Congress leaders, workers have joined the RSS and the RSS. I believe that by 2026, Assam will not There is Congress party again. I don’t want to comment on Bharat Narah as I have no association with him. But I believe that by 2026, there will be no Congress party in Assam and they will survive only in small places,” he added.

The Assam Chief Minister also said that more outstanding leaders will continue to join the BJP before the Lok Sabha elections and this process of joining will continue after the Lok Sabha elections.

He also claimed that Assam Congress Committee chief Bhupan Kumar Bora will join the BJP in the first half of 2025.

“I have prepared two seats for him (Bhupen Kumar Borah). All Trinamool Congress MPs will join us. If I call the Sonitpur candidate (Congress), he will join the BJP. But I don’t want that. Except for 1-2 blue blood dynasties, they are all red blood dynasties. The dynasty is ours,” CM Sarma said.
