Anand Mahindra is an avid social media user. He often shares engaging and inspirational posts that pique the interest of internet users. This time too, the Mahindra Group chairman has caught the attention of netizens by reacting to a nice story shared by a mother about her fourth-grade daughter helping a specially-abled child. The business tycoon reposted the “short and simple” story on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote that it is one of those stories that makes the world a better place.

“A short, simple story. But one that makes our world a better place. Thanks for sharing it, Varsha,” Mr Mahindra wrote.

Take a look below:

The woman, known as Varsha on X, told the story of her little girl’s desire to help a specially-abled child write his exams. In a series of posts he said that about 1.5 months ago, he received a message from a woman who was looking for a Class 4 child to assist her specially-abled daughter. The girl had to study and write for her daughter’s final exam. “I suddenly asked my fourth-grade daughter if she wanted to do this,” Ms. Varsha said.

“And the phone calls began, looking at exam calendars and nights of thinking and reassurances that ‘saying no won’t make you a bad person nor make me sad or disappointed, but only do it if you feel like doing it. Want.’ My little girl decided to take it,” she added.

Ms Varsha concluded her thread by urging parents to encourage their children to help “the special child as a writer/reader/unconditional friend”.
