The trailer of Siddu Jonnalagadda starrer Tillu Square shows DJ Tillu returning to ‘dangerous’ situations

The creators of Mallik Ram’s DJ Tillu sequel Tillu Square have unveiled the trailer of the film. Siddu Jonnalagadda plays the lead again and this time, Anupama Parameswaran replaces Neha Shetty. Excitingly, after multiple delays, the film will premiere in theaters on March 29.

The trailer is 3 minutes and 35 seconds long and gives us a glimpse of DJ Tillu’s return to dangerous situations. In addition to grappling with his romantic feelings for a girl, he seems prepared to put himself in danger for her sake. The trailer subtly hints at Sidhu’s character facing a new challenge from his love interest, without revealing too many details. Initially he was determined to avoid romantic entanglements to avoid trouble, but he seemed to hesitate when he came across the character of Anupama. The kissing scene depicted in the trailer is likely to appeal to the target audience, while Anupama’s dialogue “Good sex is like good food” hints at the double romance promised in the film.

DJ Tillu received an overwhelming response when he debuted in 2022, with Siddu’s catchphrase “atluntadi manathoni” gaining popularity. Although Sidhu is an industry veteran, he is also known for his impeccable comic timing. Debutant director Vimal Krishna helmed the original, but the directorial reins changed for the sequel.

The trailer of Thiru Plaza was unveiled at the Sriramuru Theater in Hyderabad and the team of the film was also present at the launch event. Sricharan Pakala composed the music for DJ Tillu, Ram Miryala took over the production of the sequel and Thaman S handled the background score.

“Tillu Square” was originally scheduled to be released in March 2023, but was later postponed to September of the same year. However, due to post-production setbacks, a new release date was set for February 2024. Later, the film had to be postponed again to accommodate the delayed release of Eagle from Sankranti.
