Russ Cook, a British man nicknamed “The Hardest Old Man” who has run across Africa, said he plans to run the London Marathon this Sunday.
Mr Cook, from Worthing, West Sussex, Completed the 352 day challenge On April 7, he traveled more than 16,000 kilometers.
The 27-year-old traveled through 16 countries before crossing the finish line at Las Angelas. Tunisiathe northernmost point.
Since launching last year, he has raised nearly £950,000 for two charities, Running Charity and Sandblast.
“It’s hard to know until I’m actually back,” Cook said of possible long-term damage during an episode of YouTuber JaackMaate’s Happy Hour podcast released Thursday.
“I might have a few days without running and then we’ll see.
“I have london marathon It’s two weeks away, so I need to be ready for that. “
Mr Cook said he would be running the marathon with the running charity and was delighted to complete the run in under four hours.
He added that he would “probably do some little things in the middle” to “keep going.”
Mr Cook also confirmed he will return to Africa next year to compete in the Sahara Marathon, a six-day, 156-mile ultramarathon.
Asked if there were plans for another continental-scale running challenge, Mr Cook said: “I’m not sure [the] The next challenge will be a difficult one to surpass.
“I really don’t want to leave for another year anytime soon.”
Some 48,000 runners took part in last year’s London Marathon, with the winner crossing the finish line in just over two hours.
