RCB has never won the title since the inception of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008. However, in just their second WPL season, the women’s team of this franchise lifted the elusive trophy.

After winning the WPL title for the first time, RCB off-spinner Shreyanka Patil dedicated the victory to the fans.

The 21-year-old said that our team has really worked hard to win the championship this season. She further spoke about team bonding activities.

“You can call us that, we don’t mind. We worked really hard and we did have a training camp before the season started. It was great getting in touch with everyone and we had amazing team bonding sessions, some Drama, some dancing and some laughter. They kept saying ‘Ee Sala Cup Namde’ and we got it. That’s it, guys, it’s for the fans,” Shreyanka said after clinching the maiden WPL title.

Shreyanka further said that our team wants to win the final as the team wants to show the fans that we can do it too.

“Day in and day out, we put in the effort, we showed up and we wanted to win this game and show the fans that we can do it.
