The government will hold an all-party meeting on Tuesday ahead of the budget session

The government has convened a meeting of leaders of different parties in parliament ahead of the budget session on Tuesday. It is customary before every meeting, with leaders of different political parties highlighting the issues they want to raise in Parliament, and the government making them aware of its agenda and seeking their cooperation.

The session will be short, from January 31 to February 9, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the interim budget before the Lok Sabha polls. The new government will present a full budget. The meeting will begin with a speech by President Drupadi Murmu.
