The fourth round of US-Iran nuclear dialogue was postponed due to ‘logistic’ issues

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran, Oman and the US on Friday decided to postpone the fourth round of nuclear dialogue for logical and technical reasons.

In a post on X, Argchi emphasized Iran’s commitment, to achieve a equitable and balanced deal, “There is no change in our determination to secure the solution of a conversation, from Iran.”

“In fact, we are more firm than ever to achieve a justified and balanced deal, guarantee to eliminate restrictions, and create confidence that Iran’s nuclear program will always be peaceful, while ensuring that Iranian rights are fully respected,” he said.

Earlier in April, American Special Envoy Steven Witcoff interacted with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Argchi to resolve differences in Muscat at Muscat.

According to the statement, Steve Witchoff was with the US Ambassador Oman, Ana Escrogima. The talks between the US side and the Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi were held in Muscat and the Omani Foreign Minister said Badr.

The statement called the discussion “positive and creative”, in which the US thanked Oman for supporting the initiative.

Iran’s state news agency, IRNA, cited its Foreign Ministry, saying that the top negotiaters of Iran and the US had exchanged the approach of their respective governments regarding Iran’s nuclear program and to lift the restrictions on Iran through Oman’s Foreign Minister Badar bin Hamad al -Busidi,

IRNA mentioned that the conversation on 13 April, which took place in the first years, came after writing to Trump’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khameni, requesting that a deal between Tehran and Washington should be opened in a deal.

IRNA further stated that Iran said that it was giving diplomacy “real opportunity” if the American side displays resolution and goodwill. It saw the initial talks on Saturday as an opportunity to find out whether the United States was serious about diplomacy. (AI)
