A family’s joyful reunion with their long-lost son turns into a nightmare of deceit and exploitation in a heartbreaking fraud case in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. A family was overjoyed when a young man who looked exactly like their missing son Arun returned home after being separated for 22 years. What seems like a miracle soon turns into a sinister plot orchestrated by a fraudster named Nafis.

According to Dainik Jagran, the relationship between the two soon took a dark turn when Nafis posed as Arun and demanded a huge sum of over Rs 10 lakh from Moose in exchange for returning home.

Father Ratipal, desperate for his son’s return, did his best to raise funds by selling his land. Little does he know that the person he welcomes into his home is an imposter, preying on their vulnerability and desperation.

The scammer’s elaborate plan included posing as a monk and manipulating the family’s emotions to extort money. Although reluctant at first, the family eventually agreed to Nafis’ request, hoping to eventually bring their son home. Their hopes are dashed when they discover the truth about Nafis’ identity.

Nafis reportedly belongs to a notorious family known for fraudulent activities, particularly posing as sadhus to defraud unsuspecting families. This modus operandi has landed several of his family members in jail in the past. Nafis’ deception, combined with the family’s desire to be reunited with their son, has taken a devastating financial and emotional toll.

Authorities have been alerted to the situation and are working to investigate the matter and ensure justice. Police have assured the family of support and are closely monitoring the situation to prevent further incidents of fraud.
