Suicide bombing kills 2, injures 1 in Peshawar, Pakistan

The dead and injured have been admitted to Khyber Teaching Hospital.

Islamabad:

An explosion in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Sunday killed at least two people and injured one person, police said. The incident took place at Board Bazar on Nasir Bagh Road, Peshawar. The bomb was planted on a motorcycle.

The dead and injured have been admitted to Khyber Teaching Hospital.

“According to preliminary and unconfirmed reports, explosives were planted in a motorcycle parked in the area,” the official said, adding that the blast site has been cordoned off and rescue operations are underway.

However, so far, no group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

Chief Minister KPK Ali Amin Gandapur condemned the blast and sought a police report on the incident.
