Suhani Bhatnagar, Aamir Khan’s on-screen daughter in Dangal, passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 19. While the exact cause of her death remains unclear, Suhani, a former resident of Faridabad’s Sector 17, will be cremated at the Ajronda Crematorium in Faridabad. District 15, according to reports. Suhani’s father Puneet Bhatnagar shared the cause of his daughter’s death with the media. According to him, Suhani developed swelling in his hands two months ago, which later spread to other parts of his body.
She was then diagnosed with dermatomyositis and prescribed steroid medication because it was the only way to treat the disease. However, the drug had side effects on her immune system, causing infections, weakening her lungs and causing fluid to build up in vital organs. Suhani’s father had earlier said, “Even after putting her on a ventilator, her oxygen levels remained low and at 7 pm last night, the AIIMS doctors said ‘she is gone’,” he said. Suhani Bhatnagar’s mother added that Suhani is doing well in college and she plans to return to showbiz after graduation. She said: “She did really well in college and even came out on top last semester. She excels in everything and wants to excel at what she wants to do. Our daughter makes us very proud.”
