stuart broad hit back at david warner‘Moral ashtaunted while claiming England Will have to face “the worst” Australian The team from 2010 when they travel down this winter.
The Ashes will start with the first test match on 21 November Perth And Broad raised the level of anticipation by hitting back at Warner’s prediction of a 4-0 win for the hosts.
The on-field rivalry between Warner and Broad is famous, with the former Australian opener dismissing Broad 17 times in Test cricket, a record for the most number of dismissals by a bowler to the same batsman.
Regarding Warner’s prediction, Broad told the BBC’s For the Love of Cricket podcast: “You wouldn’t be strange to think – it’s not really an opinion, it’s a fact – this is probably the worst Australian team since 2010 when England last won, and it’s the best English team since 2010. So those things add up to the fact that it’s going to be a fantastic Ashes series.”
Both Broad and Warner have now retired and the former England bowler has bid farewell to his international career after the 2023 Ashes series in England, where Australia retained the vase after the series ended 2-2.
Before the last test of that series, harry brook Suggestions were made that England winning the match and leveling the series would represent a “moral victory” following Jonny Bairstow’s controversial run out early in the series.
Warner mocked Brook’s comments in preparation for the upcoming series, saying that the hosts “will play the Australian way, because we are playing for the Ashes and they are playing for a moral victory.

“I think [Australia will win] 4-0. Somewhere, usually in Sydney, there’s going to be a washout. If the captain doesn’t play they can win a game.”
Broad, who won the Ashes in Australia during the 2010–11 series, explained why he thinks England have a good chance of doing so again.
“It is very, very difficult to win in Australia as an England team or any team,” he said. “Australia would have to be massive favourites. The question really was ‘which team is under the most pressure?’

“Well, Australia is under the most pressure because they are expected to win. They are fantastic at home but there are question marks over their team and there are question marks over the captain.”pat cummins,
“Australia have been so consistent for a long time that you just knew who was going to bat, who was going to bat where, who the bowlers were – and they haven’t had that.
“I don’t think anyone can argue that this is their weakest team since 2010…that’s just a fact.”
