Mr Morrison says grief remains difficult to cope with after Perry’s death

Mr Morrison, who married Mr Perry’s mother in 1981, said the actor felt he was in a good place before his death shortly after a long period of drug and alcohol abuse.
“He feels like he’s beating his opponent,” he said. “But you can never beat it and he knows that.
“It’s been such a whirlwind of life – working on a very successful program and battling such a vicious addiction that was so severe for him.”
Morrison said people were still grieving after Perry’s death at the age of 54 at the end of October last year.
“It’s around you every day,” he said. “It stays with you, and there are new aspects of it that attack your brain. It’s not easy.”
Morrison added that he and Perry were “chalk and cheese” but “we get on really well”.
“I’m there for him and he knows it,” he added.
Matthew Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, was tragically found dead at his home in Los Angeles last October. He is 54 years old. First responders found Mr. Perry unconscious in the home’s hot tub and were unable to revive him.
According to reports, Perry’s death was accidental due to the “acute effects” of ketamine. He was said to have been using infusion therapy to treat depression and anxiety, having received his last treatment just over a week before his death.
