Srinagar Police attaches assets worth Rs 1 crore under NDPS Act

Srinagar, June 25: In a major action against the danger of the drug, Srinagar Police has attached a residential property-two-storey house as well as land as well as about 1 crore rupees, a notorious drug pedaler, mountains Ahmed Bhat, Takanwari, residents of Karnabal.

The accused is included in the case of FIR number 02/2024 under section 8, 20 and 29 of the NDPS Act registered at the police station Sangam. It is currently under preventive preventive under the Pit-NDPS Act.

The said property has been acquired through the income of illegal drug smuggling. Following the appropriate confirmation by the competent authority under Section 68-E and 68-F of the NDPS Act, and by the competent authority under Safema (smugglers and foreign exchange manipulations), New Delhi, real estate has been formally confiscated and attached. It will not be sold, transferred or dealt with without prior permission from the competent authority.

The accused has a history of drug pedaling and was actively involved in the supply of drugs, especially targeting local youth, pose a serious threat to public health and safety.

This action is part of the continuous action of J&K police on drug trafficking networks. By targeting and destroying the financial infrastructure of such a network, the police aim to prevent the spread of drugs and protect the community.
