Prior to this, Royal Challengers Bangalore had scored 263/5 against Pune Warriors in 2013. An onslaught from the SRH batsmen ensured that the 11-year-old record was broken on Wednesday.
SunRisers Hyderabad batsmen gave it their all from the start while Mumbai Indians were clueless. Abhishek Sharma scored a 16-ball fifty while Travis Head hit an 18-ball half-century. Their onslaught SRH scored 148 in 10 overs, the highest score in IPL history.

Talking about the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored a staggering 277 runs for three wickets against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, which is the highest score in the history of IPL. Travis Head came on to bat, playing his first IPL match of the season, with a 24-ball 62, while Abhishek Sharma hit a 23-ball 63 ,Foundation.
Heinrich Klassen (80) and Aiden Markram (42) played well in the final seconds to help the home side cross the 250-point mark.
The previous highest total was 263 runs in 5 games by RCB in 2013.
It was a nightmare for the MI bowlers as all of them, except Jasprit Bumrah (0/36), ended up conceding more than 10 runs per over.
