Snapchat down in India, users unable to send images, texts: all the details here

Popular social media app Snapchat is currently experiencing outage, as reported by X (formerly Twitter) and outage monitoring site DownDetector.

Users faced challenges while sending snaps and messages to friends. Data from DownDetector shows a significant increase in the number of outage reports submitted by users. Notably, more than 4,000 users were unable to use the feature at some point between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on February 9.

Additionally, the outage map highlights how users in various parts of India are grappling with the issues.

Although there is no official statement on the duration of these issues for Snapchat users, they are still an ongoing concern for users at the moment.

Meanwhile, X has become the site of a meme extravaganza that was born out of this development. “Everyone flocked to Twitter when they saw Snapchat was down,” said user @SankiPagalAwara.

Another user expressed disappointment, saying: “Snapchat stops working when it becomes the only way you communicate with your friends.”
