lithuania has threatened to close its border with belarus If smugglers enter the balloon again from the neighboring country.
European Union The National Crisis Management Center (NCMC) said the member state resumed flights at Vilnius airport and reopened crossings with Belarus on Wednesday after smuggler balloons entered the capital city’s airspace.
“If such major incursions of balloons on our border are repeated, we will react immediately and close our border with Belarus,” Prime Minister Inga Ruginian said on Wednesday.
“We will not make any concessions to Belarus.”
He did not say how long such bandh would last.

Authorities said about a dozen balloons were found on the ground and four people were arrested.
About 30 flights and more than 4,000 passengers were affected after dozens of helium weather balloons were blown toward the airport late Tuesday night. Lithuania closed both border crossings with its ally Belarus RussiaAfter the events.
