"Should learn from Iran, who have not bowed down to anyone": Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena (UBT)

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) faction leader Sanjay Raut on Tuesday expressed his praise for Iran, saying that the nation has shown “what self-esteem and courage” and India should “learn” from it.

This comment comes after the United States started attacking the country’s nuclear facilities, and Iran responded by attacking American military establishments in the Middle East.

He also said that Iran is always standing by India, whether it is a Kashmir issue or a struggle with Pakistan.
“Iran has shown what is the self-esteem and courage of a nation. Iran is a country that always stands with India when we have any problem. Whether it is the issue of Kashmir or Pakistan, Iran has stood by India. We should learn from Iran. The country should bow before someone.”

UBT leader’s comments come a few days after the US started an accurate attack on three major Iranian nuclear facilities. The conflict began on June 13 when Israel launched a massive airstrikes at the Iranian military and nuclear sites, named “Operation Rising Lion”. In vengeance, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a large -scale drone and missile campaign called ‘Operation True Promise 3’, targeting Israeli fighter jet fuel production facilities and energy supply centers.

Tensions went ahead after the US carried out an accurate airstrike on three major Iranian nuclear facilities under the “Operation Midnight Hammer” on Sunday morning.

CNN reported that Iran launched several missiles at US military establishments in Qatar and Iraq, including Al Udid Air Base in Qatar, the largest American military base in the region.
