British horror film Saint Maud will receive a new production at Live Theater in Newcastle-upon-Tyne this autumn.

Rose Glass’s atmospheric first feature film, released in 2020 to critical acclaim, stars Morfydd Clark as a troubled Scarborough paramedic who turns to her patient (Jennifer… Ellie) develops a destructive obsession. The stage play is adapted by Jessica Andrews, whose novels include the award-winning Saltwater, and will feature new music by Gazelle Twin.

Jack McNamara, Artistic Director of Live Theatre, said: “This film is stunning and we are extremely honored to have been awarded the world premiere.
