The Wildlife Department celebrated the completion of two years of Jambu Zoo with a series of activities organized here on the second day. The occasion marked a significant milestone in the zoo trip to the zoo, with more than five million feet since its opening to the public on May 29, 2023.
Lion cubs, Kutki and Bhanki, who were born to their parents brought from Gujarat two years ago on 5 March 2025, was the main attraction of the event. Other attractions include a live snake show and live brant hedgehog performance, a new discovery for India.
A cultural program organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture, a major participation of school students, NGOs and local artists on the subject of wildlife conservation, showcased dogri songs, dances, skits and yoga. The children enthusiastically participated in the painting competition and the winners were awarded the award.
Several zoo staff members were vested for their dedication. Public members participating in the zoo adoption program were also vested.
