Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma appeared on Netflix’s ‘The Great India Kapil Show’ where the star batsman revealed how he interacts with teammates and other cricketers on the field A few funny stories. In the episode, host Kapil Sharma asked Rohit if any cricketer asked him not to hit sixes in the presence of his girlfriend. Rohit replied that he has received such requests from cricketers but the reason why he did not listen to them was in reference to his wife Ritika Sajid.

“Yeah, of course, we had that conversation, but I told them, ‘Even though it’s your girlfriend in the stadium, I’m letting my wife watch the game.'” She sat with her arms folded throughout the game. So, she means more to me,” he replied as the audience erupted in applause.

Ritika was also in the audience and Kapil Sharma also asked her some questions.

“Is he more difficult to manage as a husband or as a cricketer?” Kapil asked.

“As a husband. As a captain, he has his team to manage him. I don’t have to do anything,” she replied.

Rohit quickly came up with another hilarious quip during the interaction.

“She can’t go into the pitch, she can’t go into the dressing room, but I have to go into the house. She’s the captain there.”

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma talks about India’s ICC World Cup 2023 final loss to Australia and says he initially thought India were angry with them but they were actually angry with their brand of cricket Much appreciated.

During the show, Kapil Sharma said that the Indian team had performed extremely well throughout the World Cup but somehow it slipped through their fingers in the last game.

Talking to Kapil about the title race, Rohit said the team was so strong after winning ten consecutive games that it was almost like it was on “autopilot” mode.

“Two days before the match, our team trained in Ahmedabad. The team has been maintaining a good momentum. It was like the team was on autopilot. When the match started, we started well.” Shubh Man Gill quit soon, but then I was paired with Virat Kohli and we were confident of getting good results. I feel in big games, if you can score runs and create pressure on the opponent, that’s good because any Teams can all fall under pressure “but Australian cricket is playing very well. We even took three wickets in about 40 overs, but after that they formed a long-term partnership,” Rohit said.
