Shakira tops Billboard charts with latest album ‘Women No Longer Cry’

Shakira recently topped the Billboard charts with the release of her latest album Women no longer cry.

The Colombian star debuts on the Billboard 200 Top 40 this week at No. 13 with her 12th overall album.

It topped the Top Latin Albums chart, marking Shakira’s fifth No. 1 on the chart.

The singer achieved a new milestone, standing out from other artists, making her the first singer in history to have a Latin No. 1 in four separate decades.

The list includes the 1990s Where is the thief?2000s Oral Fixation, Volume 1′2010s’“The Sun Rises”, “Eldorado”and the 2020s Women no longer cry.

Shakira has opened up about the thought process behind her latest album amid her split from Gerard Pique, claiming she intends to “build bridges, empower people and help women discover their strengths”.

“I was stuck in a quagmire and I had to rebuild myself and put all the pieces that had fallen apart back together again,” she explains.

Speaking of her 16-track LP, waka waka The singer offers insights into her music, turning “pain” into creativity.

She added: “Making this music taught me that my pain could be channeled into creativity.”

“The songs are full of anecdotes and some very strong emotions I’ve experienced over the past two years. But writing this album was a transformation and a rebirth of me as a woman.

“I rebuilt myself the way I saw fit. No one told me how to cry or when to cry, no one told me how to raise my kids, no one told me how to be a better version of myself. I just decided.”
