Shah Rukh Khan’s team has issued a statement clarifying reports that the Bollywood actor helped a naval officer to be released from Qatar. SRK’s manager Pooja Dadlani shared the statement on her Instagram account on Tuesday. In a statement, Shah Rukh Khan’s team denied any involvement in the release of the naval officers, calling it “baseless”.

“Regarding reports of Shah Rukh Khan’s alleged role in the release of Indian naval officers in Qatar, Mr Shah Rukh Khan’s office said any suggestion of his involvement is baseless and stressed that The implementation of a successful resolution is entirely dependent on the Indian side. “Government officials have categorically denied Mr. Khan’s involvement in this matter,” the statement read.

“Moreover, all matters involving diplomacy and statecraft are best carried out by our very capable leaders. Mr. Khan, like many other Indians, is delighted that the naval officers are home safely and wishes them all the best.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan had a phenomenal run at the box office last year with three superhit films – Pathan, Jhawan and Dunki. Last month at the CNN News18 Indian of the Year Awards 2023, King Khan had spoken about the same and said he was “grateful” to fans for loving all his 2023 films.

“I truly believe, with humility and gratitude, that all Indians are coming out, people who don’t even like me as an actor. People are calling me from all over the world and saying, ‘We want to come out for Jawan, Pathaan , support what you do as an actor’. I think that goes way beyond the film. Pathaan is great, Jawan is lovely, Dunki is beautiful. This is not a comeback, but It was to reaffirm that I belonged and that I should keep acting,” the actor said.

Shah Rukh Khan may next be seen in his upcoming film Toxic alongside KGF star Yash. However, there has been no official confirmation of this yet.
