Kolkata Knight Riders continued their hot run in the ongoing IPL as they beat Lucknow Supergiants by eight wickets at the Eden Gardens on Sunday. When asked to bat first, LSG could only manage a total of 161/7 in 20 overs, with Mitchell Starc snatching three wickets. Later, KKR chased down the target in just 15.4 overs, with Phil Salt (89*) and skipper Shreyas Iyer (38*) forming a brilliant partnership. Apart from his brilliance with the bat, KKR also impressed the fans and their co-owner Shah Rukh Khan with their brilliant fielding in the overs against Deepak Hooda.

Talking about the match, Salt’s brilliant 89 runs were not outdone by pacer Starc’s brilliant bowling performance as KKR started their five-match home run with an eight-wicket win over LSG.
