Ottawa – The union representing Canada Post and 55,000 post workers is set to return to the bargaining table today.
Members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers have rejected the latest proposals of employers in majority votes, it has been two weeks.
After a conversation of over a year and a half, the two sides met on Tuesday with federal intermediaries and today and Monday have more rounds of bargaining.
The most recent proposals of the Crown Corporation from the end of May included an increase of about 13 percent wages in four years and restructuring to add part -time workers.
Canada Post says it is ready to receive a wide response from the Sangh that addresses important and increasing challenges in front of the postal service.
Meanwhile, the Sangh is imposing its national ban on overtime work.
