Kolkata, 3 October (IANS) Tension is again increasing in Kultali in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal as the third accused in an alleged collective-interview of a senior citizen is still on a large scale.
Talking to media persons, the locals claimed that the two accused arrested in the case were chased and they were measured by them late on Tuesday night.
The accused allegedly raped a 60 -year -old woman when she was alone at her home on Tuesday night. After committing the crime, when the accused tried to escape, the locals caught two of them and handed them over to the police.
However, local police officials have claimed that all efforts are being made to track the third accused.
The accused reached the victim’s residence to steal the chicken from the hen coup. As soon as the female woke up after listening to the sounds and challenged the thieves, the three accused raped the gang after pulling her into a room in their house.
Later, the villagers chased him and managed to make two of the three Nabs Nab.
The villagers handed them over the next morning to the police after killing two numbers. On Thursday, he was presented in a sub-divisional court in South 24 Parganas district.
According to the statement given by the victim to the local police, she was alone at her home as her husband was in the hospital in connection with an eye surgery.
He also said that three miscreants were carrying a country-made pistol and a sharp weapon, with which he had threatened him while committing a crime.
