Kash Patel gave his comment in a joint press conference this morning and is adopting a big win properly.
I have a complete press conference for you down with a text transcript, and I don’t want to look for ghosts behind every bush, but I could not help, but I wish folded the “33” number in my comment twice.
This is probably nothing, and so I am not going to focus on it, apart from this, FreeMen actually loves number 33.
Okay, it is enough on it, but it grabbed my eye.
FBI Kash Patel.
Thank you, Governor. This happens when you allow good police to be police. The FBI and our colleagues are proud to stand here today to bring justice with the family of Charlie Kirk and to honor their memory.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to President Trump, Vice President, and the entire White House, which has been very helpful as a team for both resources and individually for the FBI.
They had our back throughout the way, and I want to thank us for giving us those resources to operate such justice at such a speed. In 33 hours, we have made historical progress for Charlie.
Governor Cox, our partnership has been absolutely incredible in the last few days. Will tolerate our partnership.
Your state and local partner, your Sheriff, your DPS community has been incredibly impressive in the most difficult time. And such a case cannot be resolved, not brought without partnership with your state and local authorities.
The FBI has a certain role, and we will play that role, and we will lead to the federal government. But Governor Cox, we are very grateful to your state partnership that leads this investigation.
A small of the timeline. Charlie was shot at 12:23 pm on Wednesday. The first FBI agent arrived at the scene in 16 minutes at 16 minutes in 16 minutes and reached the spot in 16 minutes.
The FBI immediately launched fixed-wing assets. We used these assets to transport personnel, special technicians, hostage rescue teams. We used these assets from the east coast and here to move forward in Utah and to transport forensic evidence and other evidence, which will be analyzed and are being analyzed in our FBI laboratories in Quantico and other laboratories including ATFs.
In my direction, the FBI released the first set of FBI photos of the suspect at 10:00 local time at 9/11. Then, soon after this, the FBI reward of $ 100,000 was released at 10:45 am on the local.
Herself and Deputy Director Bongorno reached the spot at around 5:30 pm on 9/11 at around 5:30 pm. The governor led a press conference at around 8:00 pm last night, where in my direction, the FBI never saw a suspect.
We also issued new images to the people of the suspect. And last night, the suspect was taken into custody local time at 10:00 pm.
Less than 36 hours, 33 accurate, Thanks to the full weight of the federal government and the Suspected, leading with partners here in the Utah State and Governor Cox State, was caught in the historic time period.
And I want to reveal what Governor Cox said: “This will not be possible without your, media and you, public.”
So we became so fast public, and we are very transparent, and we are committed to that transparency.
Crime view, just a little bit. It is a major crime site. State and local authorities along with federal officials processed the crime site quickly, and I had the ability to walk through the crime site and walk through the steps by the suspect to learn more about what was needed and we needed to create a complete picture for the FBI and leadership in Washington.
In addition, thanks to the state and local partners, forensic evidence has been confiscated and continued. Forensic evidence has already been evaluated in FBI laboratories between Quantico and state and local authorities.
As we see it, we will continue to process the evidence, and we collect it, and we will continue to distribute Governor Cox and his team.
Last night, we had around 7,000 leads. Till this morning, thanks to your great work, we have more than 11,000 leads that were called in the FBI, and we are running every lead that we can. Each of them will be run out.
Arrest is a will for good law enforcement to be great and the dedication of partnership in law enforcement, which I have tried to highlight as my tenure as a director of the FBI.
There is no better relationship for law enforcement than the FBI to partner with state and local authorities, and you have seen it here in the last few days.
FBI Salt Lake Field Office LA, Phoenix, Denver, San Antonio, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Quantico with our offices in our headquarters components, all participate in FBI.
I want to express my deepest gratitude for FBI, men and women employees, evidence response team strategists, special operators, agents, assistant employees.
You have done a monumental work in historical times when the public, which had the right to demand such a rapid resolve of an investigation, replied that the important, seriously important calls for our nation, and we distributed.
And I am proud to be their leaders, and I am proud to be the director of the FBI.
This is a lot of ongoing investigation, as the Governor said, and we will continue working with the state and local authorities to develop the investigation, to provide them the necessary evidence for their ongoing prosecutions.
And we will be here to answer every call that they have for a long time until we need to find and catch what we were involved in this crime.
Finally, for my friend Charlie Kirk, now rest, brother.
