Campaign – Which includes organizations representing students and employees in colleges and Schools – Calling on Syllabus And in its final report, “Evaluation reviews to recommend banning diploma and extended diplomas in T-level fields, which is due to being published in the autumn.

There are AGQs level 3 qualifications, including BTECs, for students who want to do extensive studies of a specific business field.

In December, the Labor Government announced 157 commercial qualifications, which the previous orthodox administration planned to withdraw funds, will be placed beyond July this year until the reform is more established in the qualification system.

The government has planned to withdraw funds for many applicable general qualifications, such as BTECS ,Country,

After reviewing level 3 qualifications of “Overlap” with T-Level, the government said that 57 qualifications in digital, construction and health and science would be funded by July 2026.

Another qualification in engineering, agriculture, business and creative will maintain its money till July 2027.

The first T-level courses-roughly considered to be equal to three A-stars-were launched in England in 2020 and are being gradually rolled out.

Education department (DFE) Guidance, published in February, has underlined the plan to withdraw money from “large merit” in many T-level subject areas in the future.

An analysis of the Protect Student Choice Campaign shows that 52,000 less youth studying health and science courses each year can be removed if funding is removed for AGQs in the region, and said that about 11,000 less youth can study digital courses each year.

It said that over 200,000 students are currently studying AGQs that are “either scraped or have an uncertain future” that makes “difficult” to plan and train the right employees, to train and train young students.

The report warns: “We are deeply concerned that the government’s blanket ban on diploma and extended diplomas will create a qualification difference that tens of thousand students will be potentially fallen, leaving many young people without a suitable route in future.”

“In some disciplines, limiting the choice of merit for T-level in some subjects will leave some young people without the appropriate passage at the age of 16, and some employers need them without a skilled workforce.”

Care England CEO Professor Martin Green said: “Qualifications such as Diploma in Health and Social Care and Extended Diploma are highly valued as a source of introducing young people for career in social care by adult social care providers in England.

“Scraping these qualifications will be closed to a well -established passage to enter the profession and extend the workforce crisis in the care sector for a small population, which we are eager to promote access.”

Anne Murdoch, college leadership advisor Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) said: “We strongly urge the government to maintain these popular and valuable applicable general qualifications.

“We support the introduction of tea-stars, but we do not understand why it should be other attempts and at the cost of reliable business qualifications that do good work for many students.

“At a time when we are seeing the increasing number of youths who are not in education, employment or training, it is certainly necessary that we offer the option of later path to 16 rather than narrowing our options and making cases worse.”

A DFE spokesperson said: “Through our plan for change, we are building a skill system that will carry forward the opportunity and distribute our economy to the development that our economy needs.

“T-Level will be at the forefront of our technical education proposal. With them, new improved qualifications will be available for delivery at level 3 at the beginning of the next academic year.

“They are of high quality, are connected to business standards in technical routes and provide clear routes to learners for higher education or efficient employment.

“The status of the department on further plans for improvement for level 3 qualification will be determined soon, informed by independent courses and evaluation reviews.”
