Sanjy 2025: J&K Traffic Police released traffic advisor for Jammu -Serinagar NHW, other major routes

Traffic Police Headquarters, Jammu and Kashmir has issued a comprehensive traffic advisor for July 11, 2025, regulating the movement of vehicles on major routes, especially in view of the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra and the prevailing road situation.

The advisor states that Sainzi convoy, LMV and private cars will be allowed to be subject to the proper weather and better road conditions from both sides on Jammu -Srinagar NHW (NH -44). However, HMV will be allowed in alternative days, and their movement will be convenient after assessing road and traffic conditions.

Passengers are advised to travel during the day, especially on Jammu-Srinagar NHW, due to the possibility of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal. Fruit producers and carriers carrying fresh parishbals from the load carrier from the valley are advised to advise and park their vehicles on time, which are in specified places between Navig Tunnel and Levadura.

The advisor also specifies a cut-off timing for LMV, passenger vehicles and private cars on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. For example, vehicles will be released from Nagrota (Jammu) from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm, and from Kajigund to Jammu between 11:30 pm and 2:00 pm.

Additionally, the advisor offers guidelines for traffic movement on other major routes, including installment-santhan-Anantnag Road, SSG Road and Mughal Road. On the installment-scholar-enhang road, LMVS and HPSVS will be allowed to be subject to proper weather and good road conditions from both sides.

On SSG Road, the traffic movement will be allowed on a regulated basis, in which HMVS will be allowed to Srinagar from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm and from Sonamarg to Kargil from 11:30 am and 5:30 pm.
