Samsung Galaxy S24 FE may launch earlier than expected

Launched in October last year, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is an improved version of the regular Galaxy S23. Now, a successor to the Galaxy S24 FE is said to be in development. Latest reports from South Korean news media indicate that Samsung suppliers have begun mass production of display driver chips for the Galaxy S24 FE, which will be officially launched this summer. This rumored timeline is much earlier than the release of any previous fan edition model. The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to debut as a toned-down version of the regular Galaxy S24.

according to a reporter The Elec Galaxy S24 FE is scheduled to be released this summer. Citing industry sources, the report said Samsung suppliers have begun mass production of TED (TCON embedded driver IC) for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) for its upcoming Fan Edition smartphones.

The Galaxy S24 FE’s summer release window (June to August) is rumored to be earlier than the Galaxy S23 FE’s release. The latter was announced last October, about eight months after the Galaxy S23 series debuted in February. The upcoming model is likely to be a stripped-down version of the Galaxy S24.

If the report is true, the second half of this year will be eventful for Samsung. The company is expected to release the Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Watch 7 series and other products around July and August.

According to past leaks, the Galaxy S24 FE will feature a 6.1-inch AMOLED display and run on the Exynos 2400 SoC or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, depending on the market. It is said to come with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and come in 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. It is rumored to come with a 4,500mAh battery.
