After the home team’s score became 62/3, Samit came to bat. He started cautiously, but the scoreboard kept ticking before Morley got the better of him.
However, Smaran Ravi stole the show for Karnataka on day one. He scored 111 runs in just 153 balls to help his team cross the 300-run mark.
Hardik Raj, Ravi’s replacement, struck 67 off 74 balls before passing away.
Karnataka were bowled out for 356 on day one due to stump hit.

For those unfamiliar, Lancashire will travel to India for a 10-day preparation camp ahead of the new English counties season. Jofra Archer’s Sussex County side also played a few practice matches in Bengaluru.
