Salman Khurshid, a member of the all-party delegation, says, “Pakistan should return to India.”

Web Desk, 30/05/2025

Congress leader and all-party delegation member Salman Khurshid said that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir should be given back to India.

In a conversation with Annie, Khurshid said that India has clearly stated that talks can only happen when the commitment to Pakistan’s peace is clear, including the interaction on the Indus Water Treaty.

“The Parliament of India has a long -standing resolution, stating that Pakistan has captured Kashmir and should be sent back to India and as you know that even in the Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir, it keeps the seats in that area vacant for this reason.

Khurshid further said that Pakistan rejected efforts to make peace, as it has been attacking India for years.

“Second is that the government has repeated it because you know, often ask questions whether you will talk, what you will not talk, etc..

Khurshid said that talks can take place only when Pakistan’s support for terrorism stops. Till then, the Indus Water Treaty will occur in the abyance.

“But the government has clearly stated that dialogue can only happen when Pakistan’s commitment to peace is clear that their support for terrorism is shown to stop, and only then Pakistan can have talks. And it can include the Indus Water Treaty.

Khurshid said that India took kinetic steps to end the terrorist hub in Pakistan, and then got his vengeance with India, neutralizing his aggressive base.

“So it has been clarified that now we are taking many steps, the steps we have taken, they are called the kinetic steps to try to end the terrorist hub in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir, which is the first thing we did and then when anyone was retaliated without any cheating, he said that he was on the basis of retailation.

Khurshid also said that Indonesia was more helpful than his expectation.

“I believe that Indonesia was far more helpful than Indonesia, and we expressed our gratitude for it. They reiterated mourning and support messages that had already come from the President and have already come from the ASEAN headquarters, etc. and they took a lot of interest, and they took a lot of interest, they reiterated what he has given,” he said.

Khurshid said that till now, he had met the ASEAN general secretary, and it depends on the rest of the countries to take the matter to their next meeting.

He said, “Now the issue is that ASEAN can take the matter forward in its next meeting because we will only talk to the general secretary, but as far as the government and the representatives of Indonesia are concerned, they were very, very helpful, some of which we will continue to meet even today,” he said.

Khurshid said that Indonesia was a supporter of the Indian stance, and the false narratives of Pakistan were rejected on the attack.

He said, “He was very supportive of India’s position. And the so -called story that was pushed by the Chief of Army Staff of the Army in Pakistan, now a field marshal, the story was completely, completely, completely, and rejected in our conversation,” he said.

Khurshid is a part of an all-party delegation. The delegation, LED by JD -U mp Sanjay Kumar Jha, Includes Aparajita Sarangi (BJP), TMC MP Abhishek Baneerjee, Brij Lala (BJP), John Brittas (CPI-M), Pradan Jar (BJP), Pradan Jaroshi (BJP), Salman Khurshid and Mohan Kumar.
