Russian President Vladimir Putin had high praise for tech mogul Elon Musk in an interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson, which was published on Thursday .In a two-hour interview with the former fox news As moderator, Mr Putin spoke on a variety of issues including the war in Ukraine and the use of artificial intelligence (AI). But one of the interesting topics of conversation between the two was when Tucker Carlson asked Putin about Elon Musk’s new brain chip technology, Neuralink.
Mr. Carlson asked the Russian leader about the origins of the AI empire. At first, Vladimir Putin joked that the problem was becoming increasingly “complex.” He continued, “Humanity currently faces many threats. Thanks to the help of genetic researchers, it is now possible to create a superman, a special human being, a genetically engineered athlete, scientist, soldier.”
Putin mentioned that Elon Musk has implanted chips into human brains in the United States. “What do you think about this?” Mr. Carlson asked Mr. Putin. In response, the Russian leader heaped praise on Mr. Musk. “I don’t think there is anything that can stop Elon Musk.” He will do what he sees fit. Still, you need to find some common ground with him. Find ways to convince him,” he said.

The Russian leader also praised the billionaire. “I think he’s a smart guy. I really believe he is. So you need to come to an agreement with him because the process needs to be formalized and follow certain rules,” he added.
“It is impossible to use artificial intelligence today in the same way that gunpowder was used,” Putin concluded.

At the same time, Putin also talked about in the interview Russia’s ongoing war with Ukraine. He defended the decision to invade Ukraine in 2022 and said the West now realizes that despite U.S., European and NATO help coming to Ukraine, Russia will not be defeated.
“So far, there has been a lot of noise and screams about a strategic defeat against Russia on the battlefield. But now they are clearly starting to realize that even if it is possible, it is simply difficult to achieve. In my opinion, this is by definition It’s impossible to come up,” he said.
Asked whether Moscow would consider invading other countries in the region (NATO members Poland and Latvia) or the entire continent, Putin said that was “impossible.” “We have no interest in Poland, Latvia or anywhere else. Why would we do this? We don’t have any interest at all. This is just spreading threats,” he said.
