Moscow:
The Russian-controlled Zaporozhye nuclear power plant said on Monday that a Ukrainian drone was shot down on top of Reactor 6.
“Today, a kamikaze drone was shot down over the nuclear power plant. It landed on the roof of Unit 6,” the plant said underneath a photo of Reactor 6.
Reactor No. 6 is currently shut down, according to the plant.
Russia said Ukraine attacked the Russian military-controlled Zaporozhye nuclear power plant three times on Sunday and demanded a Western response, but Kyiv said it had nothing to do with the attacks.
Russian forces took control of the plant in 2022, shortly after a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Both Moscow and Kiev have repeatedly accused the other of attacking nuclear power plants at the risk of a nuclear accident.
