As Buckingham Palace undergoes a 10-year, multi-million dollar restoration project, Prince William, Kate Middleton, their children and other royals share a behind-the-scenes look at the royal family’s iconic balcony exterior in a new video Enjoying the festivities.

The video, shared by members of the royal family on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, shows Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Charlotte, Kate Middleton, Prince Louis and Prince William on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

The royal family’s social media pages posted a video showing the reopening of the east wing, which includes the center room leading to the royal family’s iconic balcony, during a decade-long restoration of the royal residence.

Highlights include two major royal appearances on the terrace last year, the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla in May 2023, and the annual public celebration of the monarch’s birthday next month with Trooping the Color.
