Rovman Powell to lead strong West Indies team, rookie Shamar Joseph called up for T20 World Cup cricket news

Rajasthan Royals power-hitter Rovman Powell will lead a strong West Indies team packed with some of the world’s best franchise freelancers in the upcoming T20 World Cup in the US. One of the prominent names involved is rookie fast bowler Shamar Joseph, who is part of Lucknow Super Giants in this edition of the IPL. Some of the biggest power-hitters of world cricket like Nicholas Pooran of Lucknow Super Giants, Andre Russell of Kolkata Knight Riders, Shimron Hetmyer of Rajasthan Royals, besides captain Powell himself are part of the 15, which makes the team look very strong.

Not to forget Mumbai Indians’ Romario Shepherd, Sherfane Rutherford (KKR) and Shai Hope (Delhi Capitals), who are also plying their trade in the cash-rich IPL.

Fast bowler Alzarri Joseph, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore, is Powell’s deputy, while experienced professionals like all-rounder Roston Chase, Jason Holder, batsman Johnson Charles, Brandon King have also been included.
