Rijiju accused Rahul Gandhi of misleading people on foreign policy “speaking the language of Pakistan”

The Sangh Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on his comment on the foreign minister’s visit to China and said as the Leader of the Opposition, “He should not say anything against the country”.

Rijiju also called for creative discussion during the monsoon session of Parliament, which begins on July 21, saying that nothing will be achieved if the opposition makes Rakas.

“Parliament is about to begin. Whatever issue comes in Parliament, we will hear it. Tomorrow I held a very good meeting with Kharge ji and Rahul ji. I keep holding regular meetings with leaders of other opposition parties. It is my responsibility to maintain coordination with everyone as a parliamentary minister.

He said that there should be a bilateral view on the foreign policy of the country. He accused Rahul Gandhi of speaking the language of Pakistan.

“The way Rahul Gandhi tries to mislead people on foreign policy by speaking the language of Pakistan, it hurts the country. We would suggest him that as the Leader of the Opposition, he should not say anything against the country,” Rijiju said.

“Now you blame the Prime Minister for foreign policy, instead of uniting the country, you speak against the Prime Minister of the country. What benefits the country is from it? Opposition does not mean misuse of the country. Opposition also has a role in doing good work for the country … When it is to talk about foreign policy, we should not be attacked separately for foreign policy.

Rahul Gandhi, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, slammed Jaishankar on his comment during his visit to China to attend a meeting of SCO Foreign Ministers.

Rahul Gandhi said in a post on X, “I think the Chinese Foreign Minister will inform Modi about recent developments in China-India relations.

The Congress also organized a press conference, alleging that Jaishankar had expressed “Bonomi” with China during a visit to the country to attend the meeting of SCO Foreign Ministers.

The party stated that Beijing fully supported Pakistan during Operation Sindoor and instead of “a strict response”, the Union Minister “praised China”.

Congress MP Jeram Ramesh said on Wednesday that there is a consensus between the government and the opposition on the agenda of Parliament.

Ramesh said, “Parliament will only work properly when there is a consensus between the government and the opposition and it is the responsibility of the government to ensure that there is a consensus between the two …” Ramesh said. (AI)
