Reward of Rs 10 lakh announced for two accused in Bengaluru cafe blast case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for information leading to the arrest of two key accused in the Rameshwaram cafe blast case in Bengaluru, one of whom used a Hindu name to hide his identity.

The agency asked the public for information about the duo – Mussavir Hussain Shazib alias Md Juned Hussain alias Muhammad Junid Saeed and Abdul Matheen Ahmed Tahaa alias alias Mateen alias Taha ) alias Vignesh D alias Sumit “or any other supposed Hindu”. “name” – a wanted man in the case, according to his post on X.

The NIA said Taha, who is about 30 years old, had been using a Hindu identity document, a forged Aadhaar card in the name of Vignesh or other similar forged identity documents to hide his identity.

The institution shared their photos and identified men’s/boys hostels, PG/shared accommodation/budget hotels and hostels as their preferred places to stay.

According to the NIA, the accused Shazib, 30 years old, likes to wear “jeans, T-shirts and shirts” and “black smart watches”.

Both Shazib and Taha were said to often wear “masks, wigs and fake beards”.

Whoever provides any information leading to the arrest of the accused will be rewarded with a reward of Rs 10 lakh, the NIA said in the same advisory against each accused, which was shared on X.

“The identity of the whistleblower will be kept confidential,” the statement said.

On Wednesday, the National Intelligence Agency made a major breakthrough by arresting Muzamil Sharif, a key accomplice in the bombings.

NIA investigation revealed that Muzammill Shareef provided logistical support to two wanted criminals in the case related to the March 1 IED blast at ITPL Road cafe in Brookfield, Bengaluru.

On Wednesday, NIA teams carried out crackdowns at 18 locations, including 12 locations in Karnataka, five locations in Tamil Nadu and one location in Uttar Pradesh, Muzammill Shareef ) was captured on Wednesday and detained as an accomplice.
