Revin Fire Midtown Toronto with evacuation, road closure indicates

Late on Sunday night, an intensive explosion forced the evacuation of houses that came out in a ravine in a ravine and shut down a major Midtown traffic artery.

Emergency employees responded at around 11:30 pm after a report of a large fire burning in the heavy wooden area under the St. Claire Bridge, which spreads the ravine between Yonge Street and Mount Pulsent Road.

The Toronto police and the fire crew quickly rushed to the spot, but the fire scale inspired the precautionary clearance of houses in the surrounding area. There is currently no reports of injuries.

It is believed that the fire began in an encroachment under the bridge, which spread to the ravine. Although the fire has been extinguished since then the authorities told 680 Newsradio that the heat and intensity of the flames could have compromised the structure of the bridge.

A police spokesperson said, “St. Clare Avenue Bridge remains closed until the city can determine the structural integrity of the bridge.”

St. Clair Avenue is closed between East Avoka Avenue and Engelwood Drive, urging the police drivers and urges users to plan alternative routes.
