Apple is gearing up to launch new iPad Pro and iPad Air models this year after the tech giant didn’t update its tablet lineup in 2023. According to reports, the new iPad Air will be equipped with Apple’s in-house M2 chip, while the high-end iPad Pro may use Apple’s self-developed M2 chip. The M3 chip that powers the latest MacBook Pro models. Now, a new report has revealed the full dimensions of the upcoming iPad Air and iPad Pro models.

Previous reports suggested that the new iPad Air and iPad Pro models may come in two display sizes. It is said that the iPad Air will debut in a new 12.9-inch model, as well as a regular 10.9-inch model.according to a Report Per 9to5Mac , the 12.9-inch iPad Air may come in the same dimensions as the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Citing sources familiar with development, the report says the larger iPad Air will measure 280.6mm x 214.9mm x 6.0mm, which is the same as the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro, albeit thinner.

On the other hand, the new iPad Pro is said to have slightly increased in size while also becoming thinner. The report claims that the new OLED display on the Pro variant of the tablet has fewer layers than an LCD display, which will make the iPad Pro even thinner. The new 11-inch iPad Pro reportedly measures 249.7mm x 177.5mm x 5.1mm, while the current 11-inch model measures 247.6mm x 178.5mm x 5.9mm. The larger 12.9-inch model is said to measure 281.5mm x 215.5mm x 5.0mm, making it 1.4mm thinner than its current counterpart.

Please keep in mind that these dimensions are estimates only and the final product may vary. Apple has yet to confirm new iPad models, but Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that updated iPad Air and iPad Pro lines may arrive in March.

In addition, the iPad Pro models may also be the first Apple tablets to feature OLED displays, which can bring better contrast and black levels compared to mini-LED screens.
