Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G to launch in India soon: Camera details revealed

Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G is about to be launched in India. The company has officially teased the phone and announced its launch schedule. Some camera details of the upcoming model have also been revealed. The phone is said to succeed the Realme Narzo 60 Pro 5G, which was launched in India in July 2023 along with the Realme Narzo 60 5G. Realme has not yet confirmed whether there will be a base variant of the Realme Narzo 70 5G.

Realme India announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G will be launched in India in March. The teaser video shows a large, slightly raised, circular central camera module with a triple rear camera unit that supports optical image stabilization (OIS).

The post also links to an Amazon microsite, which confirms the model’s eventual availability on Amazon. It also revealed that the phone will feature a 1/1.56-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary rear sensor. We expect to know more about the phone closer to its launch.

The Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G could be a rebranded version of the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G as the Realme Narzo 60 Pro model is said to be a rebranded Realme 11 Pro series model. To this end, the company may change some elements of the Realme 12 Pro+. For example, the Narzo 70 Pro in the teaser does not come with a telephoto camera, unlike the Realme 12 Pro+’s triple rear cameras. This could be a significant difference and also help bring down the price of the upcoming phone.

It is worth noting that the Realme 12 Pro+ is also equipped with a 1/1.56-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor, which is the same sensor confirmed to be equipped with the Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G. However, Realme 12 Pro+ also comes with a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B telephoto camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.

The Realme Narzo 60 Pro 5G, on the other hand, has a 100-megapixel OmniVision primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. It also has a 16-megapixel front camera sensor. The model was launched in India at a price of Rs. The 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 23,999, while the 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 1TB variants are priced at Rs. 26,999 and Rs.29,999 respectively.
