At an awards ceremony in Gujarat last month, Ranbir Kapoor won the Best Actor award for “Animal” and in his speech thanked “Animal” director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, his father Rishi Kapoor and daughter Raha. A fan page shared a video of him accepting the award, which was later shared on Reddit and is now going viral.

After thanking the sponsors, Ranbir said, “I would like to dedicate this award to three people in my life. Starting with the winner Mr. Sandeep Reddy Vanga. You are by far the most original and cinematic I have ever worked with. Director, it was truly an honor to work with you. The trust and belief you showed in me really encouraged me. Vanga, you win, man. The second person I would like to dedicate this award to is Mr. Rishi Kapoor – Papa Meri Jaan. Every day I think of you and I miss you. Everything I feel for you…I try to convey love, affection through this part and I hope you rest peacefully there. Last but not least One thing is, my daughter Raha…naughty…you were born and a week later I started principal photography on Animals…every day being back with you has been the happiest experience of my life. Tonight mom and Daddy is going to take you to play Bua and Masi…I can’t wait to experience every adventure with you…I love how naughty you are. Thank you ladies and gentlemen…see you in the movie,” he said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir Kapoor will soon be seen playing Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. According to reports, Sai Pallavi will play the role of Sita and Sunny Deol will play the role of Hanuman. According to reports, Lara Dutta has been roped in to star in Kaikayi and Rakul Preet Singh is in talks to star in Shurpanakh.

Ranbir Kapoor has also signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War along with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. According to reports, Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be taking a break from his signature period dramas with this film.
