Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been ruling the TV arena for almost 15 years and has a huge fan following. The story currently revolves around the fourth generation characters, Abhira, Armaan and Roohi, played by Samriddhi Shukla, Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe respectively. Earlier, the show was directed by Pranali Rathore and Harshad Chopra as Akshara and Abhimanyu. The plot focuses on Abhira and her relationship with Armaan as she struggles to become a lawyer. In the latest, the makers have decided to bring back the character of Abhir, Akshara and Abhimanyu’s son, who was supposed to die last year before the show took a leap.

According to a report in ETimes, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) fame Raj Anadkat will be seen playing the role of Abhir in the upcoming story. In the current episodes, the audience has got a hint of Abhir’s entry in the show. According to the report of Bollywood Life, Abhir’s role will be grey-shaded. However, this has not been confirmed and an official announcement is still pending. Reportedly, if Raj Anadkat takes up the show, it will be his first TV appearance in three years. The character of Abhir was earlier played by child actor Shreyansh Kaurav. He died in a car accident along with his father Abhimanyu.
