Prosecutor wants to try 17 -year -old as an adult in the death of Main Padalboarder

Hayes said that the proposal to try the youth as an adult has been proposed by the court and is not publicly available.

“Although the court allowed us to release the name of the defendant, but all other documents have been deployed, so we do not have additional knowledge that we can share at this time,” Hayes said.

Young produced a brief initial court on Friday, in which he refused the charge. His lawyer, Jeremy Pratt refused to comment on Monday. If convicted of murder as an adult, the youth faces a 25 -year jail sentence for life.

A medical examiner determined that the cause of Stewart’s death was strangling and blunt force, police said.

The authorities have not disclosed a purpose. The court documents issued about the case include very little expansion, and the Maine State Police has refused to comment beyond the announcement of arrest last week. He has said that the investigation into Stewart’s death is still active.

In Stewart St. George, tenants lived for about 21 miles (34 km) from the pond in the Harbor neighbor.

Stewart’s friends described him as an independent independent courageous who was deeply dedicated to his friends. Over the years, he worked as a fisherman, boat captain, carpenter and bartender, among other jobs, friends said.

“She was just a wonderful friend, actually a loyal, amazing friend,” a lifelong friend, Washington’s Bethani Litche Paramle, Men said. “She was just very fun and funny and you could not help but there was a good time around her.”

The 2,400-resident Town of Union has a pond, about 600 acres (243 hectares) and does not have public access. It is available for a variety of uses, including boating and fishing.
