Prince Harry developed thoughtful strategy for anticipated meeting with King Charles?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may see the meeting as an opportunity to present themselves in a positive light to improve their strained relationship with King Charles following his cancer diagnosis, the Mirror reports.

Following the public announcement of the monarch’s diagnosis in February, his younger son Harry immediately flew from the US to the UK for a brief 30-minute visit with Charles at Clarence House.

Now, the Duke is preparing to travel to London once again in a few days to attend an event commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, and the King will schedule a visit to meet him.

Harry’s wife Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will not accompany him on the trip. However, commentators believe the Duke’s reunion with his father will serve as a welcome olive branch after years of tension and criticism towards the firm.

Royal commentator Richard FitzWilliams said it is “normal” for Harry to try and make amends with his family – and the fact that he has recently appointed new public relations specialists is “significant”.

According to Mr Fitzwilliams, Harry and Meghan have realized that their brand is “very important” and have changed the way they deal with PR. However, he said the pair now have to make amends with the Royals and rebuild trust.

The commenter said the important thing the couple needs to agree on is the “meeting of the minds” and the fact that things need to be kept private and quiet due to a serious illness within the family.

Mr Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail: “There have not been any recent attacks on the royal family for obvious reasons, and there will not be. The difficulty they face now is whether they can be trusted if they are going to build or rebuild the bridge. Would be, because I don’t think the royals would trust the Sussexes.

“The King has made it clear that his door is always open and obviously Harry is going to be meeting with him a lot in the coming weeks and months.
