Prince Harry appears to have had a change of heart after his sister-in-law Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cancer.

The Duke of Sussex allegedly regrets words he said in his memoir Spare while his family was facing a health crisis, royal expert Tessa Dunlop said.

“It’s a very painful situation to be in when you find out your sister-in-law has cancer and you can’t take back something you wrote,” the expert told us US Weekly.

“I’m not saying it isn’t.”

Dunlop noted that Harry and Meghan have criticized the monarchy in the past and presented themselves “as an alternative to the monarchy.”

However, now that Harry’s family is going through a pivotal moment, the Sussexes will have to show some compassion as they launch their new business venture.

“They definitely have to be careful with the timing of any release so it doesn’t look opportunistic,” Dunlop noted.

The Princess of Wales announced in late March that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was receiving preventive treatment.

Prince William and Kate received the news a month ago and have been trying to “process the information” with their three young children ever since.
