Prince Harry may be open to meeting his estranged brother Prince William, but he’s not ready for a public interaction just yet.

The Duke of Sussex has reportedly turned down an invitation to Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster’s wedding, to which William was also invited.

Grosvenor is a friend of Harry and William and is the godfather to William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son, Prince George.

The wedding, originally scheduled to take place at Chester Cathedral in June, is likely to be “changed” by Harry, according to royal author Tom Quinn.

Quinn explained that “William will be attending the wedding” because he “can hardly avoid it as Hugh is Prince George’s godfather” Mirror.

He continued, “Harry declined because it would be ‘too embarrassing.'” Quinn also noted that Harry had other reasons for skipping the event.

“Harry knew he couldn’t attend without Meghan and Meghan was absolutely adamant she wouldn’t attend.”

Prince Harry will visit the UK in May for the Invincible Games. Quinn also previously suggested that William and Harry might meet briefly if they meet during the trip to “avoid uncomfortable” conversations.
